Project: Baby Butt-Cheeks

Around a year ago, I had endeavored to start a certain project: Baby Butt-Cheeks. The goal is to get a face as soft and smooth as a baby's butt!

The perfect resresentation of baby butt-cheeks!

I was vainly looking at my older Facebook pictures and it seemed like I was more radiant back then. I'm not old enough to have my best years behind me! This set off panic mode and I began to overthink every little thing. Back then, I only needed concealer because of my eye bags. I used powder to set and blend, a little blush just because and a little lip stain.

Little by little, my face started needing a little bit more powder. Obvious blush started looking better and I moved on to lipstick... BB cream started to look better than my real skin, and one day I just realized, Houston; we have a problem.

I'd fallen into a trap that I assume a others have as well. Just because I didn't have acne, I was overconfident in thinking I have perfect skin. But I don't. My skin is really dry. On a normal day, I have a lot of obvious flakes on my cheeks, which I like to pretend that people don't get close enough to see.

The culprits:
  1. Makeup- It does dry up your face a lot, but I'm sorry but I just can't not use any.
  2. Pollution- Whenever I would go to the beach my face suddenly becomes silky smooth! No makeup, no pollution on the beach, peepzzzz.
  3. Eye makeup remover- I can't use petroleum jelly because it's even more irritating to me. But almost all brands do make my eyes a little bit dryer. I can see it by the way concealer settles on my eye bags.
  4. Work environment vs. College environment- Working in an air-conditioned office just stifles the skin. In college, I was able to spend a lot of time outdoors and we didn't have air-conditioning so I was usually dewy and glowing.
  5. No skin care routine- Overconfidence, check above.
  6. Diet- I used to eat 3 servings of fruit per meal. Now, I barely get 1 a day. Don't mock what your nutritionists say. Based on experience, I can attest that there's a big difference.
  7. Genetics- I've had dry skin for as long as I can remember, even before adolescence. I remember wondering if i had some sort of condition because I had so many tiny bumps on my face and I didn't know back then that it was dry skin.
Now, the search is on! How do I solve this problem? Well you don't have to wait long, I found the "cure" a few weeks ago and will share it on my next post :)
