I've been eyeing the Clinique Chubby Sticks ever since seeing them in Liz's (Project Vanity) review. Something about the packaging of auto lip pencils just screams sturdy to me. I hate how unstable lipsticks are. I always think that they'll topple over or break from the base, just because there's a lot of space between the product and the container. Even though lip balms should be sturdier because they're "hugged" by the container, they're too creamy to deal with.
I haven't gotten around to obsessing over a Chubby Stick shade yet. I don't think I'd want to because once I do settle down with a specific shade, I'll probably actually buy it. I'm starting to feel antsy though. I really want a Chubby Stick!

In the meantime, I'm pretty glad to see this Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm Magic Tink Tint in Happy Thoughts Pink. It's a Disney collaboration that fans will surely appreciate. There doesn't seem to be enough Tinkerbell products out there, despite her innate cuteness. I guess even in the perfect world of Disney, social class takes over and you need a crown, a kingdom or a prince to be popular.

This is a sample I got from my April Glamourbox. It's listed at Php 735 / 3g and is not available through GB's nor Pixi's online boutiques. I did some more checking and Pixi's Glow Collection was released last January 29, 2012. It might be limited edition which could explain its online absence.
I don't know when this batch was produced but even assuming that it's from the original release, one-year old, sealed makeup doesn't bother me.

How to Use:
Swipe and store! Twist the bottom to push up some product once the point becomes too dull. The color develops gradually so if you want a subdued tint, try not to go too crazy on the amount of product you slather on.
Performance:
I love the gel texture. It's honest-to-goodness a gel crayon- no arguments there! It's sturdy enough to hold its shape yet balmy enough to soothe my most parched lips. I love that it doesn't get gunky in this awful summer heat (30-35ºC.) Once applied, it goes on very slick and lightweight; typical balm texture.
There's a slight cooling sensation which feels soothing on dried up lips. It's definitely noticeable but it may not be enough for those who want XXX spicy mint that lasts for hours. I noticed that when I did a skin swatch. Be warned, it seems very faint on skin but it actually reacts more vividly when applied on the lips (pictures further down in the post.)

The only issue that's preventing me from completely head-over-heels falling in love with this is that I can never get it to react evenly. A thicker coat seems to help but I still see the unevenness, especially once it starts to fade. I can't seem to figure out what makes it so uneven because sometimes the insides of my lips are darker (as shown below) while other times, the stain remains just on the outside of my lips.
Kira of Elegantly Wasted posted a review here and hers came out nice and even. Perish the thought if I happen to have freaky mutant lips.

Lasting Power:
The balm is pretty average, it lasts about 5 hours and beyond, depending on the thickness of the coat. The stain weirdly, is not very long lasting. There are times where it has worn off at the 3-hour mark, but there are times where I've made it stay up to 6 hours, despite eating and drinking.
The stain appears pretty warm at first and then goes wild with the hot fuschia-pink hue 30 minutes to an hour after application.
Here's what it looks like after 4 hours, with a bit of snacking in between:
I think I may have overdone my initial swatch. I put too much, thinking that it would stain evenly but it ended up looking disgustingly overglossed. 4 hours later looks slightly better (still patchy) though I do normally put on a balanced amount and still never get an even stain.
The stain appears pretty warm at first and then goes wild with the hot fuschia-pink hue 30 minutes to an hour after application.

Edge:
Pixi MTT truly embodies Tink's fun side through the personalized pH reactive shade. I also particularly like the packaging of a gel auto-crayon despite this one being longer at 5in versus a regular lipstick's 3.5in.
Rebuy:
It's impossible as I believe this is a limited collection release. However, even if I could, I probably wouldn't as I don't appreciate the hue it develops on me.

I really do not know how to score this. I hate, hate, hate the stain I develop. It may be just me, but I find this product highly unpredictable. I still don't know how to even out the reaction and I've been using it for about a month already. I hate the pink-fuschia mess it develops into yet I still find myself reaching for this pencil even after I've taken all my notes for the review.
That said, I do love, love, love the gel auto-crayon and the soothing touch of mint. This crayon's pretty convenient as a not-completely-colorless balm.
I'm giving Pixi's Tinted Brilliance Balm Magic Tink Tint in Happy Thoughts Pink a very balanced 3/5, considering that I seriously hate it and seriously love it at the same time.
