Is it a sign of a decaying queendom that I'm posting more and more Had to Pass posts on subscription boxes? EGADS! I never thought I'd see the day!
The Eye of Horus Eye Love It Glamourbox was pretty easy to let go, all things consdiered.

Hold your popcorns; no I don't hate Eye of Horus. In fact, I have the EOH Mascara as one of my Trusted by Tellie items! So what's my big excuse for passing on the Glamourbox EOH Exclusive?
November last year, I picked up two Awaken The Goddess gift packs. These were available in support of ItAintNothing.org, a not-for-profit organization with a 50:50:50 goal; to build 50 homes for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan and help 50 families all for 50 grand.
Alternative Smokey Eye Pack and Awaken The Goddess Promotional Pack |
If I'm being completely honest here, I bought the two packs because Glamourbox had another promo that time giving out free shades for any two EOH purchases. The charity was just a sweet plus!
Contains 3 Eye of Horus pencils for the price of 2 (+ EOH kit, tweezers and a sharpener)
- Sultry Serpentine (olive)
- Charcoal Obsidian (slate gray)
- Nubian Brown (warm chocolate)
Eye of Horus Awaken The Goddess Promotional Pack
Eye of Horus Awaken the Goddess Promotional Pack (Php 3500) |
Valued at Php 3500, sold for Php 2000, 100% of proceeds to IAN.org
Contains:
- Goddess Mascara
- Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil (navy blue)
- Liquid Define Liner
- Sharpener
- Bamboo Mitt
- EOH kit
Compare these to the EOH Glamourbox, and it doesn't seem like such a good deal to me. I already have the mascara, sharpener and bamboo mitt, which leaves the Teal Malachite pencil and Ankh necklace left. While the Teal pencil has such a beautiful and unique color, I don't think I should pick up anymore EOH pencils and buying the beauty subscription box just for the fashionable necklace feels so wrong!
Valued at Php 3335, sold at Php 695
Contains:
- Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil
- Goddess Mascara
- Ankh Necklace
- Sharpener
- Bamboo Facial Mitt
It's still available, for those who are interested. Just click the link above the photo and it'll take you to the EOH box page!
