Preview x Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippie Swatches
Yesterday I wrote about not being able to resist getting myself the Preview x Happy Skin lippie collab despite telling myself that I'm buying it for JOKY instead of myself. Well, there must be some sort of drug with this lippie set because I've decided to post my swatches today instead of next week (which I'd originally planned.)

I wanted to wait until the high wore off so I could be more ~sober in my presentation but once more, I couldn't resist this set. I seriously love this collab, guys!
Too Cool
Too Cool is a very tricky nude. I think it looks concealer-nude on darker and/or cooler skin tones (Rae, Liz, Phoebe) which is edgy AS FUCK but kind of difficult to wear and thus, another reason for me not to get this set.
As I saw more swatches by people with similar skin tones as I (Julia, Gem, Nikki) I'm convinced this set was made for my NC 25 skin. On light-medium warm tones, the nude option looks like a bit rosier, easier to wear.
Hot Stuff
This one's a no-brainer. This kind of bordeaux, wine red is so deep and dark that it translates uniformly across most lip colors and skin tones.
It also makes my teeth (and rest of the face) super white.
In sum
I love, love, love this collaboration! If you think Too Cool will work on you, go ahead and buy it because Hot Stuff is the universal solvent (lol jk. I mean, universally appealing.) The two statement shades are really easy for makeup beginners, yet versatile enough to be dressed up by more adventurous makeup users.
These mattes have intense color payoff, zero shine and a lightweight silicone texture that's more workable than old-school mattes. If you have similar shades in your collection, I still feel inclined to recommend this set, especially if you hate the drying formula of mattes but love their intensity and look.
