Palladio Back in the Philippines + My Palladio FOTD

I'm not sure if they ever really went away, but Palladio is definitely back to make some noise. I knew them in the past for their Rice Powders and Rice Powder Blotting Papers in Beauty Bar, but never really ventured to try as oil isn't really my problem. If, like me, all you knew about them were these two trademarks, then prepare to be AMAZED.

So Palladio.

Has. A.

Ton. Of.

Stuff!!!!!

It's crazy!!!

I was pretty overwhelmed. Thankfully press were toured through this botanical and vitamin-infused brand, which prioritizes skin nourishing ingredients. The brand wanted to make 'good' (as in, good for your skin) cosmetics accessible to the masses, so they created a line that was (1) budget-friendly and (2) diverse enough for everyone to have something they can use.

I received a few things to try, and if like me, you're not familiar with Palladio apart from the rice powder and paper, let me take you through my #PalladioFOTD journey! First, the swatches:

The Palladio Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Brown (PHP 350 / 0.28g) has great color payoff but is pretty tuggy. They are a little difficult to draw with, especially after the initial swipe. They didn't smudge on me, however I don't have the worst smudging lids, so that might not be the best test for smudges. I did use it to waterline and tightline, and found that it did not mess up!

Palladio Powder Finish Foundation (Oil-Free) in Vanilla (PHP 600 / 27ml) was scary for me. As a person with dry skin, I'm all for the oil. However, this foundation did help with my texture, and I wore it for 4 hours and had no problems! I was really expecting the worst of this foundation based on my skin type, and am glad to be proven wrong.

The Palladio Powder Finish Foundation has light medium coverage, so it can camouflage redness and faded acne marks, but not really dark circles. It does dry to a powder finish, which I found neat! As you know, I'm a fan of powder finish foundation and they look great on my dry, dull skin. Throughout my day, I thought oil-free would make me crusty, but not really! It just felt much lighter than typical liquid foundations.

The shade Vanilla is too dark for my NC 20 skin.

The Palladio Rice Powder in RP01 Translucent (PHP 400 / 17g) is the famed blotting powder. This version is encased in an acrylic cube, with a luxe puff inside. This is not travel-friendly; for that, you might need the pressed variant (PHP 450) or just the papers (PHP 325.) I'm scared of powders, and this one did feel extremely dry. It's a little grainier than I'd like, and seems to really dry me out. It didn't really do much for my texture, so I keep it to blot oil and sweat.

Palladio MaXXLash Lengthening Mascara (PHP 550 / 10ml) is the product I was least impressed with. I wanted to like it more 'cause it seemed to have so much product (10ml) and the brush shape is thin and conical - perfect for small eyes like mine. Yet the formula didn't really deliver much lengthening. It defined my lashes and even volumized them, so i was confused why it was labelled lengthening.

Palladio color swatches: Palladio I'm Blushing 2-in-1 Cheek and Lip Tint in Dainty, Palladio Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color in Plush and Brocade, Palladio Eye Shadow Quad in Daytime Look

I'm Blushing 2-in-1 Cheek and Lip Tint in Dainty (PHP 450 / 6g) is a balmy face stick. Dainty is a soft pink color set on a highlighted base formula. I love it! This stick has been so nice for dewy, summer looks. Flat blush is boring to me these days, and I'm Blushing has a great pop of shine that I really appreciate!

Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color in Plush and Brocade (PHP 400 / 4.16g), I was told, were the ones to watch out for. They did not disappoint. These matte lippies have FULL color payoff in one application, and do not tighten nor crack throughout wear. The only critique I have is that they are not fully matte either, but still good for that pop of drama especially since the color selection (12) ranges from easy pinks to dramatic browns.

The Eye Shadow Quad in Daytime Look (PHP 425 / 5g) has pretty colors. The mattes swatch a little patchy. They don't really look as intense on the eye as on the arm swatch and take some work to show up. The shimmers, on the other hand, were really lovely and nuanced.

This is a pretty complete set for the face. Here is my Palladio FOTD, except for the brows:

In this angle, you can really see the highlight effect from the I'm Blushing 2-in-1 Cheek and Lip Tint in Dainty.

This shows off the lid look from the Palladio Eye Shadow Squad, Waterproof eyeliner and MaXXLash Mascara. The quad applies softer than the swatches, and the mascara didn't add much to my original length. The eyeliner looks great though!

This photo also showcases the soft focus effect of the Powder Finish Foundation.

THAT. LIP. COLOR. Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color in Brocade is striking! I had to scrape off some product and even then still had more than enough pigment to work with. These are the definite superstars of the bland.

And that's my Palladio FOTD. Is anyone else excited to explore this brand? I really like the Powder Finish Foundation, I'm Blushing 2-in-1 and the Velvet Matte Cream Lip Colors. Did anything from Palladio interest you?
