Brush Envy #4: Zoeva Makeup Artist Zoe Bag pt. 2 The Bag

The previous post was too long, so I put the discussion for the included bag in a separate post. Personally, the bag was a big draw for me. The number and variety of brushes was already a deciding factor, but the bag was also really nice!

It's great for beginner pro use, and maybe beauty addict-levels personal use. Anything less, and I feel like the bag is just too much.

It's a little larger than a legal size document, and also kind of wide. It has three zipped sections and I'm gonna share my personal setup just so you can have ideas about how to fill your own Zoe Bag. I haven't used my bag in a while and this isn't my current setup, but I did try to shuck some things in ~for the photos~.

The first section has three clear slots and two mesh zips. This is my disposables and tools pocket. In the clear slots I have: 1) decanting tools and spare puffs 2) hair velcros, alligator clips and hair pins, and 3) other grooming tools: bamboo sticks, lighter and thread. In the mesh slots, I don't really carry anything other than spare palettes and label stickers (for my names or date of first usage.)

The second section is has a bunch of different-width garter straps. They're normally where you keep your brushes bunched up together, but I prefer my brush canister for that. Instead, this widest section has my skincare, tools and disposables.

Here I put the bulk of my kit: skincare bottles, primers, setting sprays, cottons, tissues and wipes. I also shuck my tool-case here (containing black eyeliner pencil and gel, tweezers, scissors, sharpeners, etc.) I also had a great narrow working tray with 3 sections that fit perfectly here, but I had to leave it in Korea! I used that for easy-access cotton buds and cotton pads, and now I'm making do with a soap dish.

I kept my timer (!) here as well. (A timer is crucial for students so we'd get used to working within an hour, as otherwise you could take a whole afternoon, if you're not mindful of your pace.)

he last section is my "others" It has three clear button pouches, 6 tube sleeves and 6 narrow garter slots. Any other person would use the sleeves and slots for mascaras and concealers; and the pouches for small palettes, compacts and foundation tubes, but since color cosmetics were free to use in school, I kept my least used supplies here. It had a spare lash curler, retouch kits and other nonsense.

The sections and slots are very well designed, and I like to carry this for retouch work or smaller jobs. I'd have to say, it's very useful even for non-professionals who have a pretty huge cosmetic collection. It's the perfect all-in-one travel bag.
